My Story
Hello. Thanks for visiting my website. Here's a brief history of how this came about. I've been working as an interior design consultant in the UK, France, Middle East, US & China for over 30 years, creating & reviving private residences, offices, shops, night clubs & restaurants. Over the years I've been astounded at what clients throw away, so started keeping my favourite pieces in the loft for some future use. Also, part of my work included scouring antique markets to find unusual items for my projects, so lots of opportunities to find all manner of strange & unusual things . I can't bear waste & have to admit I find it challenging to pass a rubbish skip without jumping in if something catches my eye.
I've always been a keen painter & sculptor & enjoy creating what I call 'useful artwork' from recycled (or upcycled) 'finds'. Having recently found myself with some spare time from my 'day job' during this Covid lockdown, I decided to turn my
hobby into a business. With the exception of new quartz clock mechanisms & LCD & LED lighting components, most of the items that you'll find on this website have been fashioned & created from these 'found objects'. I love the idea of giving these items a new 'life'. Except where stated, almost all are handcrafted 'one offs'. You will not find them in the usual high street stores & as such they make an unique & personal gift, or simply an unusual 'accent piece' for your home or business.
